“Joanne”, as family and close friends knew her, lived a full life. Joanne was a tough but gracious lady even during her final days.
After graduated from Red Level High School, she lived in many places such as Tampa, Florida, Houston, Texas, and Pensacola, Florida where she lived most of her adult life. She spent her years there working in the healthcare industry. She returned home to Andalusia for her retirement years. Her health problems sent her back to Pensacola where she spent her final years at Arcadia Health & Rehabilitation and to be close to her daughter and grandson. Thank you to the staff at Arcadia Health & Rehab who were caring & supportive with her care.
She will return home to be laid to rest with her parents Aubrey and Audice Garrason and her son Michael at New Home Cemetery.
She leaves behind a small but loving family, daughter, Felicia Carter and grandson, Garrason Wyatt both of Pensacola, FL; numerous cousins, a special cousin, Betty Bryant of Houston, Texas; and her life-long friend, Virginia Brawner of Andalusia, AL.
We will miss you “maw-maw”, but you are forever in our hearts.
