With the new sports year just a little over a week away, the state has released its high school volleyball preseason rankings.

Pleasant Home was the lone team from the county represented in the rankings and checked in at number four in Class 1A.

Teams to watch: Belgreen, Decatur Heritage, Waterloo

The Eagles finished 2020 with an 18-6 record and reached the state semi-finals in Birmingham. Pleasant Home welcomes T.R. Miller to begin the 2021 season on Thursday, August 19 beginning at 4 p.m. TRM was also represented in the rankings as one of the teams to watch in Class 3A.
