Mr. Joseph James Brookshire, 61, of Wing, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021.

Mr. Brookshire was born October 7, 1959, in Brewton to Roy J. Brookshire and Betty Joyce Henley.

On June 25, 1983, he married Cynthia Greiner of Swinney Switch, Texas.

He worked in the oil fields in the 1980s.  In 1991, he began to work for Amoco Fiber, which is now Shaw Industries until his death.

He is preceded in death by his father, Roy Brookshire, and Betty Joyce Henley of Wing, Alabama.

Survivors include his wife Cynthia Greiner Brookshire; two sons, Jonathan and Andrew Brookshire of Wing; sister, Sandra (Joe) Barrow of Wing; brothers, Robert J. (Carol) Brookshire and Roy Jason Brookshire of Wing.

A celebration of life service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, September 12, at Beda Baptist Church. After the service, visitation and food will be served in the Fellowship Hall.
