Mr. Porter Harris, 72, of Andalusia, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 9, at Zion Hill Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Brother John McMath, Brother Roger Lee, and Walt Merrell will officiate the service.  Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Foreman Funeral Home and at the church 1 hour prior to services.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Harris; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen LaShea and Billy Martin of Dothan; two sons, Charlie Jessie Harris of Letohatchee, Alabama, Dan Mack Harris of Andalusia; five grandchildren, Brooke (Forrest) Greathouse, Laken Harris, Cole Harris, Chad Harris, and Kyle Harris; three great-grandchildren; his brother; Thomas Larry Harris of Avon, Alabama; special adopted “sister”, Vicky Lynn (Sam) Hunter of Enterprise; and special long time friend, Bill Shaw.

Pallbearers will be Headland Police Officers, Mark Jones and Chris Watson, Covington County District Attorney Walter Merrell, Covington County Sheriff Blake Turman, Covington County Chief Deputy of Todd Grimes, Andalusia Police Officers Brian Baxley and Grant Barton; and Covington County Sheriff Investigator, Gary Hutcheson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Zion Hill Baptist Church Deacons along with Greg Powell, Bobby Henderson, and Bill Shaw.
