Opp wins Homecoming over Daleville, 55-0; PHS, SHS fall to tough region opponents

The Bobcats celebrated by earning the largest victory in school history on Homecoming Friday night with a thumping of the Warhawks. OHS scored all 55 points in the first half, the most for the team in a half since 1937.

Gray Jennings went 10-of-15 passing for 226 yards and three touchdowns in the air. Jennings also added 4 carries for 26 yards and scored a rushing touchdown. Terry Davis had 4 carries for 45 yards and added three touchdown receptions for 111 yards.

Kade Taylor had 4 tackles and a sack of -2 yards to lead the defense. Wyatt Horn and Zeb Green had 3 tackles each. DaDa Stoudemire returned an interception 30 yards.

Opp (4-1, 3-0 3A Region 2) hosts Straughn next week in a rivalry battle.

The Bulldogs had a 46-0 halftime lead and won for the 20th straight time over the Eagles.

Pleasant Home (1-3, 1-2 1A Region 1) travels to Orange Beach in non-region play next week.

The Trojans turned a close game into a rout with a 22-point second quarter in a battle of first-place teams in the region.

The Tigers got on the board in the third quarter with a rushing touchdown. Straughn (4-1, 2-1 4A Region 2) remains on the road next week and travels to Opp.
