The Andalusia Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the hiring of Laura Popwell Wells as the new Executive Director of the Chamber.

Wells brings to the board and membership an impressive background in business. She is an honor graduate of The University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a concentration in Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship, and a minor in General Business. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography.

She brings a unique blend of resourcefulness and creativity to her new position. She began her career at Business Xpansion Journal, and for the past 18 years she has worked in local businesses, Vicki Popwell Portraits and Andalusia Ballet. She was able to develop a multitude of relationships throughout the community and she plans to continue that with the Chamber.

Wells is married to Daniel Wells, Chief Operating Officer of CDG Engineers, and they have three children who are involved in sports and the arts.

“I’m honored and excited to begin this new position with the Chamber. I’m looking forward to working with our membership and board supporting our existing events and programs as well as implementing new strategies and ideas to further enhance the businesses in Andalusia,” Wells said.
