ACMS presents Four Seasons Brass
The Andalusia Chamber Music Society (ACMS), an outreach program of the LBW Community College music department, presents Four Seasons Brass in concert on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021.
The performance will be held in the Martha & Solon Dixon Center for the Performing Arts at the LBW Community College Andalusia Campus at 7 p.m.
“The concert is free for LBW students, $5 for area school students, and $15 for adults,” said Johnny Brewer, ACMS co-founder, LBW music faculty, and member of Four Seasons Brass.
“We are playing a wide variety of music ranging from Americana to classical to jazz,” said Brewer. “One piece that stands out to me is Eric Whitacre’s ‘October.’ Every piece of music Eric Whitaker has written has been a success because each piece is brilliantly written and beautiful. We are also playing an arrangement of a Spanish tune entitled ‘Andaluza.’”
The concert is made possible, in part, by a grant from the John H. and Grace McMillan Estep Charitable Foundation.
“We invite everyone to attend this concert and look forward to offering live music again,” added Brewer.
Tickets are available at the door prior to the event. For more information call Johnny Brewer at 334-504-1899.
