Vickie White Cowen, 68, of Montgomery, passed away peacefully on October 6, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Andalusia on June 29, 1953. She graduated from Andalusia High School in 1971. Vickie was a devoted wife, a proud mother, a much loved and cherished Mimi, and a great friend to many.

She is survived by her husband, Joe, of 47 years, her son Heath, and daughter-in-law Jennifer, her daughter Jodi Henley, and son-in-law Clay. She has six beloved grandchildren: Maryanna, Aubrey, Lyla, and Will Cowen, Madilynn, and Lillian Henley. She is also survived by her sister-in-laws Lynette Eakin and Brenda Cowen, her sister Jennifer Ming, very special cousins Lisa Ballard, Peggy Ott, and Joan Santiago. Vickie is also survived by a very special great-nephew, Tyler Atkisson.

She was preceded in death by her younger brother, Marcus White, Jr.

Vickie was an operating room nurse at Baptist East for many years. Vickie was a long-time member at Dalraida Church of Christ. She loved to travel, read, and cook. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her grandchildren. Vickie was known for her kindness, as she always delighted in doing good deeds for others. She was also known for her timeless beauty, sweet smile, and dimples. She taught her children and grandchildren to love God, and her legacy will live on in their lives.

Funeral services were held at Foreman Funeral Home in Andalusia on Tuesday, October 12, at 2 p.m. Visitation was at 1 p.m. until the time of service.

Pallbearers were Tyler Atkisson, Robbie Ballard, Joey Griffin, Brodie Griffin, Clay Henley, and Jimmy Moody.
