Parecia Taylor, a resident of Andalusia, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021 at a local hospital. She was 62 years old.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, Dec. 19, 2 p.m., at First United Methodist Church of Andalusia with Rev. Ken Jackson and Rev. Tim Trent officiating.

Parecia was born on Aug. 2, 1959 to John and MaryLee Howard. She graduated from Lurleen B. Wallace Community College and later attended Troy University.

Parecia worked for Shaw Industries for more than 30 years as a Color Analyst in their lab. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Andalusia where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Parecia was known for being a selfless and loving wife, daughter, sister, and aunt. She enjoyed going on trips to the mountains with her husband and spending time with her fur babies.

Parecia is preceded in death by her father, John Howard, and her sister, Sallie Gray.

She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Jerry Taylor; her mother, MaryLee Howard; her sisters, Jacquelyn (Lane) Dykes and Sueanna Howard; her nieces and nephews, John Conner Dykes, Myles Gray, Stacie Dykes, and Chad Dykes; and her beloved pets, Andy, Squeaky, Princess.
