Ms. LBW to be crowned at upcoming pageant

LBW Community College will hold the Ms. LBW Pageant on Jan. 20 in the Dixon Center for the Performing Arts on the Andalusia Campus.

Admission is free and open to the public. The talent portion will be performed at 4 p.m. and finals at 6 p.m.

Contestants include JaNaudia Johnson of McKenzie; Abbie Wood of Straughn; Audrey Danford of Andalusia; Tori Hobbs of Wicksburg; and Maggie Hammonds of Elba.

The program will include an interview with an esteemed panel of judges, an opening act, participant talent, self-expression question, and a wellness portion.

“This year’s pageant will serve as a preliminary for the Miss Alabama Volunteer Scholarship Pageant, Inc,” said Katie King, LBW Director of Student and Community Engagement. “The contestant chosen as Ms. LBW will receive a $3000 Institutional Scholarship and an invitation to compete at Miss Alabama Volunteer, plus other opportunities to serve her community during her year as Ms. LBW.”
