The Alabama Retired State Employees’ Association and Alabama Public Employees’ Advocacy League (ARSEA and APEAL) will hold its annual “Issues and Benefits” meeting on Friday, Feb. 18.
The meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the Andalusia Public Library Dixon Room and is open to members living in Butler, Coffee, Covington, Crenshaw, and Pike counties. Registration begins at 1 p.m. The APL is located at 212 South Three Notch Street.
ARSEA/APEAL members and those interested in joining are encouraged to attend. There is no cost to attend. Seating is limited, and those interested in attending are asked to RSVP by calling 1-800-844-7732.
“Our Issues and Benefits meetings are the easiest way to receive accurate and up-to-date information on happenings in the Legislature that can directly affect retirees and those eligible to retire. Meetings will offer attendees the opportunity to speak with representatives from RSA, the State Employees Health Insurance Program, and invited state and local elected officials,” ARSEA/APEAL Executive Director Liane Kelly said.
With 42 years representing state and local government retirees and employees, ARSEA/APEAL is the largest, most effective association working on a variety of issues in the statehouse, courthouses, and city halls across the state of Alabama.
