Mr. James E. Carter, age 90, of Andalusia died Thursday, April 14, 2022, at his residence.

Graveside services will be held Friday, April 15, 2 p.m., at Harmony Cemetery with Rev. Greg Cotter, Brother Scott, and Hank Carter officiating. Interment will follow the services with Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Carter was preceded in death by his parents, Austin Lee and Lillie Gonion Carter; brothers, Calvin Carter and Fred Carter; and sisters, Madge Stewart, Ann Adams, and Doris Starkey.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Carter; sons, Hank (Sue) Carter, Shane Carter, and Cody (Judy) Carter all of Andalusia; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Gracie Mae Cook of Andalusia and Nellene Johnson of Opp; and a brother, Donnie Carter of Guntersville, Alabama.
