Christine Foshee Barton passed away peacefully at her home in Red Level on June 10, 2022, following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Christine was born on Sept. 1, 1934, in McKenzie. She married Albert Barton on Dec. 18, 1941, and they were married for 70 years.
Christine was one of a kind. She never met a stranger and her home was always open to family, friends, and anyone that was in need. She touched the lives of many people in all walks of life. Her love of cooking was enjoyed by many. Christine also enjoyed sewing, playing the piano, and singing in the church choir. She was the church secretary and Outreach Directory at the First Baptist Church in Eufaula, Alabama for 25 years.
She is survived by her husband, Albert Kennon Barton of Red Level; her children, Albert Kennon Barton Jr. (Janet) of Bend, Oregon, Deborah Barton Bartholomew of Cypress, Texas, and Tina Barton Eppes of Red Level.
Other survivors include her grandchildren, Trey Barton (Nikki), Kay Barton, Alyssa Gilmore (Josh), Colt Eppes (Madison), and Caroline Bartholomew; and great-grandchildren, Colby Eppes, Clayton Gilmore, Dalton Eppes, and Cooper Gilmore. She is also survived by her sister, Ernestine Sturgis (Byron), and brother, Winston Foshee.
Rest on high and sing with the angels. We love you to the moon and back.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, June 25, at Buck Creek Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Visitation will be at 10:30 a.m. at the church, located at 28649 Jim Foshee Rd. in Red Level.
