Outgoing Andalusia Rotary President William Alverson passed the gavel to new Rotary president Jennifer McClung on Tuesday, July 12.

The Andalusia Rotary Club was chartered in 1920 and hosts the World Champion Domino Tournament as its fundraiser. Through the generosity that supports that work, the Andalusia Rotary Club Foundation donates approximately $45,000 to local charities each year and supports the international objectives of Rotary, which have focused on the eradication of polio and clean water initiatives. Rotary’s motto is Service Above Self.

Both McClung and Alverson are legacy members of the Andalusia Rotary Club. McClung’s father, Jimmy Lee, was a longtime member, and Alverson’s father, Bill Alverson, remains a member of the club.
