CCBOE approves additional personnel at special meeting

The Covington County Board of Education made 10 immediate personnel changes during a special called board meeting on Wednesday, August 17.
During the meeting the board approved:
Employment:
- Arawan Law as lunchroom worker at Pleasant Home School effective immediately, pending verification of new or existing background reviews
- Starla Williams as paraprofessional at Red Level School effective immediately, pending verification of new or existing background reviews
- Jodi Murray as paraprofessional at W.S. Harlan Elementary School effective immediately, pending verification of new or existing background reviews
- Dana McMath as elementary teacher with gifted/EL duties for Covington County Schools effective immediately, pending verification of new or existing background reviews
- Preliminary TEAMS contracts pending certification were executed to the following: Todd Reynolds, Tabitha Wiggins, and Kimberly Strickland
Resignation:
- Lisa Marie Macks as lunchroom worker at PHS retroactive to August 4
- Susan Marie Lee as pre-K auxiliary teacher at RLS effective August 19
- Dana Richey Johnson as paraprofessional at WSH retroactive to August 8
- Samantha Lockhart as intervention teacher at WSH retroactive to May 27
Transfer:
- Courtney Ingram Williamson from paraprofessional at RLS to pre-K auxiliary teacher at RLS effective immediately
The board set the next meeting date for Tuesday, Sept. 6, at the central office. The board will hold budget hearings open to the public at noon and 5:30 p.m. on this day.
