Amos Albert Holter Jr., born Sept. 27, 1937, of Jefferson, Maryland, passed away on Sept. 20, 2022, in Andalusia at home. He was a kind and loving father, husband, grandparent, and friend. He served four years at Eglin Air Force Base then returned home to farm the family land.
Amos died at the age of 84. He was surrounded by loved ones when he passed. Per Amos’s request, no funeral or memorial services will be held.
He was predeceased by his parents, Amos Holter and Francis Holter; his son, James Holter Sr.; and his sister, Marianne Smith.
Amos is survived by his wife, Dianna Fox-Holter; sister, Alice Linton; father to Susan Holter and Patricia Holter; stepchildren, Robbie and Rashel Fox, April Fox and Jessica Cline Carlson; grandchildren, Jamie Heflin, James Holter Jr., Danielle Brewbaker, Tiffany Griffin, Heather Vollmer, Jessica Vollmer, Dillon Courson, Toby Fox, Bailey Fox, Kori Fox, Kaylynn Moore, Jordan Fox, and Hannah Baker; great-grandchildren, Zac Heflin, Brandon Heflin, Lily Holter, Breanna Eaves, Paislee Brewbaker, Landon Griffin, Riley Huffer, Blake Huffer, Justin Rollins, Devaiah Harris Owen Fox, Bubby Moore, and MadaLynn Jayne; and one great great grandchild, Elliott Heflin; special friends, Dion Courson, Don Smith, Teresa Reeder, John Grady Gordan and family and the Coblentz family; and his faithful companions, Kippie and Holli.
