The Pilot Club of Andalusia is making final preparations for two of its annual holiday events with the Pancakes and Sausage Breakfast Day and Tour of Homes next weekend.
The Pancakes and Sausage Breakfast Day will be held Saturday, Dec. 3, from 5:30 a.m. until noon at the Kiwanis Community Center. Tickets for the all-you-can-eat breakfast are $8 per person and available at the door, SanBuck Insurance, Outlaw Realty, or through any Pilot Club member.
“The Pilot Club started this pancakes and sausage tradition many years ago when it used to be held at the Sherf Memorial Building. Planning begins every October because this is such a large event that requires a lot of planning and preparation. It has become an annual tradition that Andalusians look forward to each year. It’s a wonderful morning of good eating and wonderful fellowship,” Pilot Club Fundraising Chair Mellisa King said.
The Tour of Homes will take place Sunday, Dec. 4, from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Tickets for the event are $15 and available at SanBuck Insurance, Outlaw Realty, the Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce, or any Pilot Club member.
“The Tour of Homes is a fun afternoon for people to go inside and tour local homes and businesses that are decorated for the holidays. Many people look forward to this event each year. It’s always exciting to see the different homes and styles that people have. Another local organization started this event many years ago and then stopped. The Pilot Club brought it back to life because so many people look forward to attending each year. Each ticket holder has the discretion to decide where they would like to go first, second, and so on.”
The five locations featured in this year’s lineup are as follows:
- Blue Bird Coffee Company – 200 S. Three Notch St.
- The Bowers residence – 905 Sanford Rd.
- The Jordan residence – 609 Fourth Ave.
- The O’Ferrell residence – 519 Church St.
- The Harper residence – 16644 US Hwy. 29 S.

“We invite the community to join us at either event or both this holiday season. We strive to do more, care more, and be more in our community. We thank everyone for supporting us and helping us to continue to make Andalusia a wonderful place to live,” she said.
