Every life is precious, both born and unborn.
Individuals, families or church groups are encouraged to come by on their way to or from church to a candle-lighting/prayer vigil on Sunday, Jan. 22, between 2:30 and 4 p.m. in Andalusia at the Courthouse in recognition of the Sanctity of Human Life Month.
Spend a few moments in personal prayer for the unborn, those experiencing the pain of a past abortion and for our entire country to one day value every human life again.
Sav-A-Life of Covington County is organizing the candle-lighting/prayer vigil in memory of over 64 million unborn babies lost since the U.S. Supreme Court ruling on Jan. 22, 1973 (Roe vs. Wade). Though the ruling was overturned last year, many states have passed legislation permitting abortion; so many unborn lives are still being lost. We must continue to pray.
Speakers are available for Sanctity of Human Life services in Sunday School classes, church services, or civic groups. Sav-A-Life’s Family Hope Center is located in Andalusia at 116 Crescent Street around the corner from the Covington County Courthouse. For more information, call Sav-A-Life at 334-222-0644.
