Seven contestants will compete for the crown when LBW Community College holds the annual Ms. LBW Pageant in the Martha and Solon Dixon Center for the Performing Arts on the Andalusia campus Thursday, Feb. 2.

The program will include an interview with an esteemed panel of judges, an opening act, participant talent, self-expression question, and a wellness portion. Contestants will perform the talent portion at 4 p.m. with finals to be held at 6 p.m.

“This year’s pageant will serve as a preliminary for the Miss Alabama Volunteer Scholarship Pageant,” LBW Director of Student and Community Engagement Katie King said. “The contestant chosen as Ms. LBW will choose between a $500 cash tuition scholarship or a $3000 LBW institutional scholarship and an invitation to compete at Miss Alabama Volunteer.
