Miller sliced the gap to 33-27 until Bates drained a huge three-pointer for a 38-29 lead with 4:20 remaining in the game. Hillcrest responded back and pulled within five before two clutch baskets by Allyx Williamson gave Straughn a 44-33 lead at the 2:40 mark.
