The Covington Region Honor Flight is once again taking veterans to Washington D.C. on Saturday, April 29, and the committee needs help and patriotic spirit from the public.
This year’s flight will have veterans who courageously served in Korea and Vietnam.
“We are asking children and adults to send thank you letters or cards to be handed out to the veterans going on the flight. We Americans owe our freedom to these brave men and women who selflessly served their country. Show your appreciation and make a veteran smile by sending a thank you letter or card,” a release stated.
Letters and cards must be submitted by April 21 to Covington Region Honor Flight “Thank a Veteran” at P.O. Box 188, Andalusia, AL 36420.
The Covington Region Honor Flight is a 501(c)(3) organization. Individuals and businesses can help by sponsoring a veteran or a general monetary donation.
