The Tigers pushed their record to 5-2, while the Gators fell to 4-5 on the year.

BHS opened on a tear and struck first with five opening runs. Wyatt Straight and Judah Morse had back-to-back singles with no outs. Colton Weekley cashed in both with a two-run single for a 2-0 lead. Tucker Martin doubled the margin with a two-out double as Ethan Williams and Joel Morse scored. Kurt Armstrong brought Martin home with a single after an error. Brock Skipper ended the frame with a flyout to right. RLS loaded the bases on two walks and a hit batter but was unable to capitalize and left the score 5-0 after one.

Skipper needed only nine pitches for a 1-2-3 top of the second and led off the home half with a single. After Kennith Huckabaa rolled into a force play, Tracy Coxwell walked before Buddy Griffin struck out looking. Malikye Wright loaded the bases with a single as Grayson Hodges cut the deficit to 5-3 with a clutch bases-clearing, two-out double. Walker Simmons followed with an RBI single and scored Hodges. Skipper tied the score at 5-5 as a free pass sent Simmons home. Armstrong took over on the mound and earned a strikeout as the inning came to a close.

Williams led off the third with a double and scored on a sacrifice fly for a 6-5 lead. Coxwell opened the bottom of the frame with a single and moved up 90 feet but was stranded in scoring position. The Gators then pushed their lead to 9-5 in the fourth but were unable to hold it. Huckabaa hit into a fielder’s choice as Javen Poindexter scored and trimmed the score to 9-6. Griffin walked with the bases loaded and brought home Connor Blackwell. Wright reached on a costly miscue as Skipper and Huckabaa crossed the plate. The Tigers took a 10-9 lead when Griffin scored on an errant throw. Simmons and Blackwell delivered RBI hits, while another error put the lead at 13-9 after four.

Judah Morse plated Armstrong on a sacrifice fly in the fifth. BHS loaded the bases, but Wright escaped with a flyout. RLS was poised to add more runs but kept the score 13-10 after five. Wright worked around a pair of walks for a scoreless sixth. Huckabaa slashed a two-run single as Poindexter and Blackwell both scored for a 15-10 lead after six. Griffin allowed a two-out single in the seventh but hung a zero on the board and ended the game.

Wright went 2-for-4 for the Tigers with two runs. Simmons finished 2-for- 5 and earned two RBIs and two runs. Hodges and Huckabaa each tallied one hit and three RBIs. Wright took the win in relief and allowed one earned run on one hit in two innings, while striking out one and walking four. Straight, Joel Morse, Williams, and Martin had two hits each for the Gators. Armstrong was tagged with the loss in two innings.
