The temperature is rising, and the Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for its annual summer tradition with July Jamz scheduled every Thursday in July.
The event features a concert performed each Thursday throughout the month on the lawn of Andalusia’s Springdale Estate. The event also features children’s activities and food vendors.
“The Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce is so thrilled to be able to bring in talent that has local community ties for the first three weeks of the series and close July Jamz with an amazing Jimmy Buffett tribute band, Bluffett. July Jamz 2022 set a very high bar with Lee Greenwood that we wanted to bring in bands this year with high energy and great sounds for the summer. There will be lots of fun for the kids, including the Foam Frenzy every night sponsored by All in Credit Union, a fun interactive hula hoop and limbo contest, and much more. As always, we encourage everyone to come out and enjoy this family-friendly free event. We are so honored to be able to bring this event to our community and look forward to some fun Thursday nights,” AACC Director of Membership Services Maggie Holmes said.
July Jamz 2023 begins on July 6 with the Preston Hoffman Band as the opening act and Majestic, A Tribute to Journey serving as the headliner. Arclin will be the title sponsor for the first showing.
Scott Rodgers and Phillip McClung will be the opener on July 13 followed by headliner Today’s Yesterday band. Guardian Credit Union will be the title sponsor for the second show.
Troubled Waters will be the opening act on July 20 and followed by SevenPly as the headliner. LBW Community College will be the third show’s title sponsor.
This year’s festivities will close with Covington as the opener on July 27 and Bluffett – A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett as the headliner. Step One Automotive will be the final title sponsor.
Admission is free for all performances with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. each Thursday. Music starts at 6 p.m. followed by a foam frenzy at 7 p.m. and fireworks at 9 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair.
