Mr. Gene Jacobs, 88, of the Carolina community, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023, at his residence.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, August 9, 11 a.m., at Carolina Cemetery with Brother Jack Armstrong officiating and Foreman Funeral Home directing. No formal visitation is scheduled; the family will visit with friends following the service.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Dean Jacobs; one son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Cathy Jacobs; two daughters and son-in-law, Gloria Adams and Vickie and Larry Stallings; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Esther Barrow and Ruth and Charles Lawson; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kimberly Jacobs Sasser; son-in-law, Larry Adams; four brothers, Mandrak (Sibyl) Jacobs, Don (Carrie) Jacobs, Walker (Helen) Jacobs, and Garland (Ethel) Jacobs; three sisters, Lucille (T. C.) Bozeman, Hazel (Billy) Wood, and Mary (Don) Hutto; and brother-in-law, Benny Barrow.

Pallbearers will be Brian Jacobs, Chris Adams, Steve Lawson, John Colvin, John Luke Colvin, and Ried Adams.
