Mr. Jimmie Lindsey, 84, of Gantt, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on August 7, 2023, at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be Thursday, August 10, 2 p.m., at Cedar Grove Church of Christ with Min. Scott Penn officiating. The congregational singing will be led by Roddy Thomasson. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Lindsey is survived by his wife of 63 years, Amelia Stoke Lindsey; two sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie and Pam Lindsey and Alan and Jennifer Lindsey; five grandchildren, Anna (Kyle) Harris, Trey (Blakely) Lindsey, Katie Lindsey, Abbie (Kaleb) Powell, and Audrey Lindsey; great-grandchildren, Weston Harris and Scarlett Powell, and a much-anticipated great-grandson expected in January.

Pallbearers will be Greg Bryant, Vince Vinson, Ricky Vinson, Trey Lindsey, Kyle Harris, and Kaleb Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill McClain and Patrick McDougal.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the charity of choice in memory of James “Jimmie” Lindsey Sr.
