She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Castleberry in 2003, and her son, Thomas Gregory Castleberry in 2020.

At a young age, Caudy married her teenage sweetheart, Thomas Castleberry. The couple had one son, Thomas Gregory Castleberry. Caudy and her son always had a special bond. Through the years, she worked many jobs in the Red Level area, sewing for the public, sitting with the elderly and sick, and one of the most well remembered jobs was working with Mrs. Q. Taylor in the restaurant. She also worked with Dixon Plywood Mills, and lastly drove the school bus for the Red Level School System.

When she finally retired, she really enjoyed it. She was a talented flower gardener and could take any “dying” plant and make it flourish again! Caudy, with her humble yet vibrant personality, had a special trait that if Caudy “liked you that was good and if she didn’t, you knew that too!
