The Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce recently announced the schedule for this year’s Christmas parade and the tenth anniversary of the community’s annual holiday favorite Christmas in Candyland.

The parade will be held on Thursday, Nov. 30, beginning at 6 p.m. with a “It’s a Candyland Christmas!” theme. Parade entry forms may be accessed on the Chamber’s website at andalusiachamber.com.

“Candyland means such different things to each and every person. We are excited to see what kind of creativity everyone brings to this year’s theme,” AACC Director of Membership Services Maggie Holmes said.

Christmas in Candyland’s tenth anniversary begins Friday, Dec. 1, and runs for four December weekends through Saturday, Dec. 30. Hours of operation are Fridays from 5 to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 1 to 9 p.m., and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. A special Santa send off will take place on Thursday, Dec. 21, from 1 until 9 p.m.

The Chamber will announce dates and times for specific Candyland events at a later date.
