Straughn High School hosted its 11th annual volleyball tournament Saturday, Sept. 9.
Led by head coach Deidra Burleson, the Lady Tigers won five matches and did not drop a single set on the day. Straughn improved its record to 8-4 on the season.
“What a great day with all of my Straughn volleyball family! I am so proud of all our teams and parents for working so hard to make our tournament a huge success. It was so much fun to watch my varsity girls win our tournament and have fun while doing it. I love being a Straughn Tiger and am blessed to coach my girls,” Burleson said.
Pleasant Home won four matches and finished as the tournament runner-up.
Other teams competing in the tournament were Andalusia, Brantley, Geneva, Kinston, Red Level, and Samson.
