Crenshaw County police seek information on Andalusia resident found in roadway, died at hospital

The Crenshaw County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal incident and seeks the public’s help with providing insight or additional details in the ongoing investigation.

On Sept. 14, deputies responded to the 19000 block of Andalusia Highway in Crenshaw County in reference to a subject lying in the roadway. Upon arrival, units located the male victim who sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Andalusia Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The victim was identified as Joseph Cody Wayne Williamson, 25, of Andalusia.

Investigators say the investigation is ongoing and details are limited at this time. Investigators ask anyone who may have information to come forward. Those who contact Central Alabama CrimeStoppers always remain anonymous.
