A two-vehicle accident resulted in one person being transported to the hospital with injuries on Thursday, Sept. 28.

According to the Alabama Lawn Enforcement Agency’s State Trooper Division, the crash occurred at approximately 7:50 a.m. when a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Victoria Peters, 31, of Andalusia struck a 2021 Freightliner Conventional driven by Tony Douglas Kervin, 56, of Opp. The accident occurred on U.S. Hwy. 84, approximately 5 miles east of the Opp city limits.

Peters was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.

ALEA stated no other details would be made available at this time as state troopers continue the investigation.
