The Covington Arts Council has set auditions for the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) production of for Monday, Oct. 23, in the Dixon Center for the Performing Arts on the Andalusia campus of LBW Community College.

Those auditioning should arrive at 3:15 p.m. and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.

Among the roles to be cast are the Princess, the Pea, King and Queen Size of Riverdom, Storm King and Snow Queen of Glacierdom, the Prince, the mischievous Jack Frost, the citizens of Riverdom and Glacierdom, the Dust Bunnies, some wannabe Princesses, not to mention some meddling leprechauns.

All students entering first through 12th grades are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities. Participants should have a clear calendar for the week, as rehearsals will be held daily.

The Missoula Children’s Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, and props. MCT Tour Actors/Directors will conduct rehearsals after school each day.

The Princess and the Pea will be presented on Saturday, Oct. 28, at 2 p.m. in the Dixon Center on the campus of LBW Community College.
