Covington County and Opp school systems will provide free breakfast and lunch upon return from the Christmas break in recent announcements made by both school systems.

Free meals will be offered for CCS students beginning Tuesday, Jan. 2, and OCS students beginning Monday, Jan. 8.

Money on students’ lunch accounts will remain and can be used to purchase a la carte items or extra entrees during meals. Parents may continue to add money for those items to students’ accounts using My School Bucks.

Andalusia City Schools has offered free meals to its students since the beginning of the school year.
