With the holidays drawing ever closer, the Pilot Club is once again bringing back two of its storied holiday traditions with its annual Pancake Day and the Tour of Homes.

The Pilot Club of Andalusia holds these two events each year and generally holds them on the same weekend.

This year’s Pancake and Sausage Breakfast will be on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 5:30 a.m. until noon at the Kiwanis Community Center. Tickets are $10 each for all-you-can-eat per person and are available at the Andalusia Chamber, CCB Community Bank, or through any Pilot member. Tickets will also be sold at the door on the day of the event.

The Tour of Homes will take place the following day on Sunday, Dec. 3, from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 each and are available at CCB Community Bank or the Andalusia Chamber.

The 2023 Tour of Homes lineup is as follows:

  • Bill and June Dillman, 621 Church Street
  • Justin and Brittany Morrow, 620 Church Street
  • Terry and Kari Crisp, 303 3rd Avenue
  • Willie and Amanda Furr, 1614 Lindsey Bridge Road
  • David Schjott and Heather Hartness, 416 South Three Notch Street

In addition to visiting the homes, ticket holders will be served refreshments at the Blue Bird Coffee Company at 200 South Three Notch Street.

Pilot Club Board Member Betty Davis looks forward to keeping the club’s tradition going with both events this year.

“My home was featured on the Tour of Homes in 2021. I had a great time meeting people from the community and enjoyed sharing my home so much I decided to join the Pilot Club. I wanted to be a part of our club’s rich tradition and help serve the community. We are really excited about this year’s tour and invite the community to come out and visit. Each of these homeowners have put in a lot of time decorating for the holidays,” Davis said.

The five homes for this year all have an older, historical feel to them.

“All of our homes are located in town this year for the first time in a while. They will be beautifully decorated, and we are thankful to those who have participated this year. My fellow Pilot member Nancy Robbins has been a huge help in helping me organize and plan this year’s tour.”

The Pilot Club will give proceeds from the two events back to the community in various ways.

“Our Pilot president Meredith Harlos is doing a great job in every aspect of our club’s goals and endeavors. We always look forward to helping others in the community and serving in any way we can to give back,” Davis said.
