Andalusia Chamber holds first ribbon cutting of new year at Saints Place

The Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Saints Place on Monday, Jan. 8.

Among those in attendance were Saints Place owner Richard Eckert, cutting the ribbon; AACC Executive Director Mellisa King, right of ribbon; AACC Director of Membership Services Maggie Holmes, left of ribbon; LBWCC President Dr. Brock Kelley; City Councilman Presley Boswell; Dist. 4 Commissioner Tommy McGaha; and Chamber board members Michelle Wunsh, Garret Bowers, Marrianne Harper, Mitch Thorn, and Jason Jessie.

Eckert has worked in the food industry for over 35 years and has opened restaurants on the West Coast. He took over operations at Saints Place, formerly known as Saints Café, on Dec. 1, 2023.

Saints Place is located in the LBW Student Center and is open from 6 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Eckert said hours will expand as the business picks up. In addition, the establishment will be open during events on campus and games for sports teams.

Breakfast and lunch are offered in addition to catering services. Breakfast options include egg breakfast plates, omelet breakfast plates, breakfast sandwiches, biscuit plates, pancake plates, and French toast plates. Lunch choices include burgers, bowls, salads, chicken wings and tenders, start-ups (appetizers), and sandwiches.
