The Oleander 2 Civic and Social Club presents the Third Annual HBCU and Career Fair on Saturday, Jan. 20, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. on the campus of Andalusia High School.

The organization is inviting everyone in Covington County and surrounding areas to attend this college and career fair to learn about Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), careers within the co-collaborator agency USDA Forest Service, careers in various branches of the military, opportunities with local businesses along with sessions on financial aid, how to search for scholarships, essay writing tips for scholarships, college applications, and academic resumes, and talking sessions with current students enrolled at Lurleen B. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the high school’s auditorium lobby. This event is not just for students, but anyone interested in learning of opportunities to further their education or learn about career opportunities. There will be food, door prizes, and grand prizes of an HP Laptop, 32” Roku Smart TV, and Samsung Tablet for individuals attending the fair.
