Mrs. Martha Larene Carnes Wyatt, 83, of Andalusia passed away Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, in her home.
She was born Sept. 15, 1940, in Crenshaw County, Alabama, to Henry Palmer Carnes and Willie Pearl Blackwell Carnes.
She graduated from Brantley High School and attended Troy State University.
She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Andalusia where she enjoyed substitute teaching in her Sunday school class.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Jan. 27, 10 a.m., at Foreman Brown Funeral Home with Dr. Josh Wilson officiating. There was a private family interment at Brantley Cemetery.
Visitation was on Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Foreman Funeral Home one hour prior to service.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, John Wyatt; two daughters, Carole Reed and Susan Hales (Mark); three grandchildren, Jonathan Reed, Mark Hales, Jr., and Melissa Belter; five great-grandchildren, Caden Belter, Carson Belter, Asher Webb, Jack Hales, and Ruby Hales.
Flowers will be accepted by her family.
