Most people don’t realize that the Alabama-Florida state line is rapidly transforming into a haven for quilters and crafters alike. With over six quilt and fabric shops situated within an hour’s drive on both sides of the Alabama and Florida state line near Crestview, this area is emerging as a prime destination for quilting enthusiasts. Extend the drive to an hour and a half, and you will find yourself surrounded by nearly a dozen quilt shops.

“There are more quilt and fabric shops within a 60-mile radius than the number of quilt stores in Atlanta, New Orleans, Orlando, or just about any other major urban area,” says Tabatha Smith, owner of Camellia Palms Quilt Retreat Center.

Embark on an unforgettable sewing road trip by participating in the Panhandle Quilt Shop Hop. Join organizers as they showcase the diverse offerings of these quilting havens, and immerse yourself in the vibrant quilting community that spans the Alabama-Florida state line.

How to Participate:

• Start your quilting journey at any of the five locations listed below.
• Receive a punch card with a complimentary entry just for joining the fun.
• Make a purchase at all five locations to earn five bonus entries.
• Turn in your completed punch card at your final stop to be entered into the drawing for one of five incredible gift baskets.

The drawing for the gift baskets will take place at 6 p.m. CST on April 3 via Facebook Live. Winners will be notified by email and announced during the live Facebook event.
