More than 100 area residents will take the stage this weekend in ReAct Theatre and Arts’ production of Roald Dahl’s “Willy Wonka.”

“Wonka” is the story of a sweet boy from a poor family who dreams of finding one of five golden tickets hidden inside chocolate bar wrappers which will admit him to the eccentric and reclusive Willy Wonka’s magical factory. One after another, tickets are discovered by ghastly children – but will the lad find the last remaining one and have all his dreams come true?

Area school children learned the “rest of the story” in Friday’s school performance, and a sold-out crowd will get the answer Friday night.

ReAct is presenting “Wonka” again today and tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday, March 16 and 17, at 2:30 p.m., and tonight, Saturday, March 16, at 7 p.m. Tickets, which are $15, are available online at Eventbrite.com.
