Mrs. Barbara Gayle Grimes Rawls, age 77 of Red Level, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024, in a local hospital.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 16, 2 p.m., at Foreman Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Winston Foshee officiating. The interment followed at Adellum Baptist Church cemetery. The family received friends on Saturday beginning at noon at Foreman Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rawls is survived by her husband of 40 years, Lewis Rawls of Red Level; daughters, Shannon Cary of Gantt, Amanda Hayden Rawls of Red Level, and Trinity (Christopher) Day of Andalusia; son, Jason (Sara) Skipper of Red Level; grandchildren, Ashton Cary of Brewton, Alabama, and Trenton Sasser of Andalusia; great-grandchildren, Lorna Sasser, Soren Sasser, Jaxon Skipper, and Preston Skipper; very special friends, Marcella and Carl Messer, Kacey Sasser; also Gayle’s church girls, Jenny Lynn McFarland, Elizabeth Ann Sims, Sarah Meredith Albright, Ashley Myrick, Allison Mills, Kelly Carver, Erin Wilson, and Cassidy Wong.

Pallbearers were Jason Skipper, Ben Skipper, David Morrow, Richard Eiland, Randall Coxwell, and Brad Wingard.

Honorary pallbearers were Hugh Barrow, Jimmy Wilson, Jerry Howell, Ted Grimes, Jud Spivey, and Carl Messer.
