Joell Ronnie Hartley of Andalusia passed away March 19, 2024 at the Andalusia hospital. He was 78.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 30, 11 a.m., at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 29, at Keahey Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services on Saturday. Rev. E.J. Waters will officiate the services. Interment  will follow in the Brooks Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors from the U.S. Air Force.

Serving as pallbearers will be William Jamieson, Jay Jamieson, Charles Gomillion, Brian Johnson, Christopher Johnson, Jeff Gorum and Shawn Hartley.

Left to cherish his memory are, his loving wife, Theresia “T.J.” Johnson Hartley; daughter, Ronda Jamieson (Jay) of Phoenix, Arizona; stepsons, William Johnson of Concord, North Carolina, Brian J. Johnson (Megumie) of Japan, and Christopher Johnson (Dawn) of Camp LeJeune, North Carolina; brother, Robert Jackson Hartley (Sandra) of Navarre; Florida; and his grandchildren, William Jamieson, Briana Jamieson, Brian Johnson, Patrick H. Johnson, Naomi Johnson, Jameson Johnson, Arylyn Johnson, and Ronin Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen Clarence Hartley and Lorene Lee Hartley; his first wife, Janet Nimmons Hartley; and brothers, Steve Hartley, Aubrey Hartley, Roy Lee and Wayne Lee.

Mr. Hartley was born in Brooks, Alabama and served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force and retired from Civil Service as a Chief Personnel Operations Branch Officer in Fort Jackson, South Carolina.
