For more than 50 years Mike worked as the bookkeeper at Adams Timber Company. He was a charter member of Sportsman Bass Association where he served as treasurer until four years ago. Mike spent many years involved in Crestview City League Sports coaching football, basketball, and baseball. Many young lives were influenced by his leadership. He loved every minute.

He was a faithful member of Woodlawn Baptist Church for 45 years. Upon retirement, he spent a lot of time in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina where he was an associate member of Bryson City First Baptist Church.
