Mrs. Lois Gorum Bennett, 96, of McKenzie, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024, at Andalusia Hospital.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 17, 11 a.m., at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church (37783 Garden Road, McKenzie, AL) with Brother Rex Tolbert officiating and Foreman Funeral Home directing. The interment will follow behind the church in Bushfield Cemetery. Visitation for the public will begin on Friday, 10 a.m., at the church.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Sherry Bennett and Douglas and Vickie Bennett of McKenzie; grandchildren, Todd Bennett of Andalusia, Justin (Ginger) Bennett of McKenzie, Ashley (Lee) Nall of Red Level, and Anna (Tyler) Stephens of McKenzie; great-grandchildren, Harper Bennett, Brittan Bennett, Shelby Bennett, Beau Bennett, Lane Nall, Leah Bennett, Halle Stephens, Natalee Nall, and Grey Stephens; her siblings, Raymond (Mary Alice) Gorum, Marvin Gorum, and Lucy Nell (Leray) Berry.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Bennett, whom she married on June 2, 1950; parents, Herbert and Mary Gorum; sisters, Flora Gorum and Barbara Mitchell and brother, Andrew Gorum.

Pallbearers will be Todd Bennett, Justin Bennett, Lee Nall, Tyler Stephens, John McGowin, and Rene Fischer.

Honorary pallbearers will be Beau Bennett, Lane Nall, and Grey Stephens.
