John Lee Stephens, 55, of Dothan went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sun., Nov. 29, 2009.
Celebration of life services will be held 10 a.m., today, Tues., Dec. 1, 2009, at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Orrin Barrett officiating. Graveside services will follow in Fairmount Cemetery in Red Level with Robert Byrd directing. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church “Building Fund,” Dothan, AL.
Johnny was born Aug. 12, 1954, in Andalusia, and he lived the early years of his life in Red Level. He was employed with Foshee Milling and Peanut Company for several years. He resided in Luverne prior to moving to Dothan in 1990.
Survivors include his sister, Shirley Watt and her husband Tom of Wicksburg; his brother, Hillery Lamar Burkett of Dothan; a nephew, Stephen Berry; a niece, Sonya McLaney; a great-niece and great-nephews, Hali Phillips, Kade McLaney and Daniel Berry; his son, Steve; his daughter, Jessica; and an aunt, Carolyn Bogan of Red Level.
