Mrs. Rachel Sutton Elmore, 91, of Andalusia, died Fri., May 1, 2009, in a local nursing home.
Funeral services were Mon., May 4, at 11 a.m. at the Red Oak Baptist Church with the Rev. Eugene Meadows officiating. Interment followed in the Red Oak Cemetery.
Mrs. Elmore is survived by her son, Thomas Ray Elmore and wife Carolyn of Jacksonville, Fla.; and her daughter, Minnie Elizabeth Milhorn and husband, Billy, of Andalusia; daughter-in-law, Susan Elmore of Andalusia; seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; her brothers, James E. Sutton of Winter Park, Fla., J.L. Sutton and wife Lanelle of Orange Park, Fla., and George and wife Beverly Sutton of Phoenix, Ariz.; her sisters, Doris Ellison and Hazel Parsons, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; a special cousin, Eleanor Glidewell and a special friend, Katurah Walker.
Pallbearers were Sonny Cravey, Ronald Parsons, Michael Cheshire, Wayne Taylor, Dale Touchton, Mike Sutton, Harold Elmore and Eddie Cannon.
Honorary pallbearers were Ford Bulger, Claire Bulger, Hiram Chesshire, Thomas Kendricks, Frazier Jackson Ray Elmore and John Woodham.
