The festivities began on Friday night as more than 35 classmates traveled from more than 23 destinations to be together to celebrate the weekend to congregate at the Buckboard Steak and Seafood Restaurant for wonderful dining and reminiscing. Special guests for the evening were former Coach and teacher, Shelby Searcy, and his lovely wife, Rachel.

Many of the students and spouses spent the night at the Hickory Ridge Lodge and the beautiful Cottle House Bed and Breakfast.

On Saturday, the group gathered at the Hickory Ridge Lodge in Andalusia where all enjoyed a delicious feast prepared by George and Brenda Gantt, owners, managers, and chefs of the Lodge and the Cottle House. Special guest of the day was another former teacher, Mrs. Mal Browder, who also attended the 2009 reunion.

After lunch, the group gathered in the main dining room where Nikki Martin Bodie led the group in remembering the 20 deceased classmates. As each name was called, all who wanted to contribute special memories did so. Many stories, smiles, laughter and tears were shed bringing the class to a better understanding of their old friends and each other. The class decided to hold a reunion annually, and continue this tradition each year.
