Wingard, Lambert to unite

Mr. and Mrs. David Cook of Red Level and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Wingard of McKenzie are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming wedding of their daughter, Britta Renee Wingard, to William Marcus Lambert of Andalusia.

The bride-elect is the maternal granddaughter of the late Mrs. Mary Louise McIntyre of Greenville, the late Mr. and Mrs. Howard Thomas McAbee of Evergreen, and the late Mrs. Dorothy Pitts Cook and Mr. John Henry Cook of Dozier. She is the paternal granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wingard of McKenzie and the late Mrs. Opal Cobb of McKenzie.

She is a 2006 graduate of Red Level High School and is currently enrolled at Troy University where she is pursuing a degree in secondary education.

The prospective groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Ray Lambert of Andalusia.

He is the grandson of the late Mr. William Henry Lambert and Mrs. Eloise Lambert of Andalusia and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Barton of Andalusia.

He is a 1999 graduate of Straughn High School and a 2003 graduate of Auburn University. He is currently employed with the federal government.

The wedding is set for Sat., Oct. 16, 2010, at Harmony Baptist Church at 5 o’clock in the evening. All family and friends are invited to attend.
