It was a special night for Andalusia senior Champale Jordan on Friday.

Jordan got her first start as an Andalusia Lady Bulldog on senior night.

In addition to Jordan, Andalusia’s Kanisha Johnson and Tylesha Malcolm were honored after their game.

AHS coach Teresa Herring said Jordan did exactly what the coaches told her to do.

“If we don’t win the tip, they’re going to come at you full speed,” Herring said she told Jordan. “You put your hands up and you don’t let them score.”

Jordan got called for the foul, but it didn’t matter because she got to play in front of her mother, Lakesha Suggs, and son, Jaden Mobley.

The senior said she was a bit nervous out on the court.

“I was scared,” Jordan said. “I haven’t started in a long time since middle school.”

Herring said Jordan has worked hard at practice.

“If a kid comes out everyday and works their tail off, you reward them,” she said. “Especially, with it being senior night.”
