JIMMY WAYNE BLANTON

Jimmy Wayne Blanton, 65, of Andalusia, passed away Mon., Feb. 11, 2013, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Fri., Feb. 15, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at Foreman Funeral Home one hour prior to the services.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Blanton of Andalusia; his daughters and sons-in-law, Jill and Steven Prevett and Nancy and Jeremy Wilson, of Andalusia; his grandchildren, Peyton Prevett, Lane Prevett, Jack Wilson and Julianne Wilson; his sisters and brother-in-law, Alice and Wayne Kessenger of Charleston, S.C., and Pat Helms of Rock Hill, S.C.; and a brother and sister-in-law, William and Freida Blanton of Mobile.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Blanton.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the ALS Association of Alabama, P. O. Box 2888, Huntsville, AL 35804.

SAM WILSON WEED

Sam Wilson Weed lived all of his 100 years with grace and dignity. He passed away on Jan. 21, 2013.

His wife, Mary Ann, was his constant, loving spouse, companion and friend for 68 years. A quiet man, Weed would not have liked much written about his life or death. His humor, wisdom and love of family will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his son, Sam Larry Weed; and grandson, Larry Scott Weed.

He leaves his wife, Mary Ann Weed; two daughters, Jennifer Weed (Kenneth), and Gwen Weed (Robert); one brother, Foster Weed (Jeanette); three grandchildren, Stephanie Weed, Mary Kristen Frank (Jon) and Nicholas Galanos; two great-granddaughters, Anna Scott King and Tallulah Eden Frank; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Jan. 24, 2013, at 11 a.m., from First Baptist Church of Satsuma. Interment followed in Pine Crest Cemetery.
