Andalusia’s girls softball team won its regular season area title Thursday night in a 14-2 rout over Monroe County.

The Lady Bulldogs finished their regular season area play with a perfect 6-0 record, and won the right to host the Class 4A, Area 2 tournament.

“I thought we adjusted well to what the pitcher was doing,” AHS coach Brad Garner said.

AHS pitched three different players Thursday night — Maggie Lambert for three innings, Olivia Dixon for two innings and Hannah Burnette for two innings.

Lamber and Burnette allowed one hit each.

Abbie Young, Emily Terry, Tori Cleghorn, Andi Hughes and Burnette had two hits each to lead the Lady Bulldogs (8-12).
