Red Level beat Florala in varsity and B-team boys action, but fell in girls play Friday night at FHS.

The Tigers won 52-23 in varsity boys, while the B-team topped the Wildcats 26-17.

In girls action, the Lady Wildcats were in control the whole game, and went on to win 36-20.

Red Level’s Spencer Stallworth led the Tigers with 13 points. William Crawford added 11 points.

“We did a better job tonight of playing defense, and we executed a little better on the offensive end,” RLS coach Allen Catrett said.

RLS led 14-4 after the first period, 29-15 at halftime and 46-21 after the third period.

Florala led 10-6 at halftime, and 12-10 after the third period in the B-team game before the Tigers outscored the Wildcats 16-5 in the fourth period to pull out the win.

In the girls game, FHS led 13-2 after the first period, 17-5 at halftime and 28-9 after the third period.

Kayla Hinson led RLS with 14 points.

“We came out flat,” Catrett said. “We didn’t do a good job of playing defense, and getting rebounds. We let them have multiple opportunities. Florala shot the ball well.”

Red Level is back in action on Monday at Straughn. Florala visits Zion Chapel.
